What's the connection?
Alison Fletcher is a physiotherapist who worked at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham and worshipped at St Nicolas's Church in the city centre. She felt God calling her to work overseas and is now working for the Church Mission Society. As a church we are supporting Alison by our individual and corporate prayers,  and also by contributing financially to CMS through our charitable giving.

What does she do?
In January 2003 Alison went to Kiwoko Hospital in the Luweero Diocese in Uganda, in East Africa, to set up and run a physiotherapy department. The hospital motto is 'We treat - Jesus heals'. Alison's work includes treating patients and training staff which provides a practical witness to the Christian faith through her work in the hospital.

Alison last visited St James’s Church in September 2009. She does not expect to return to the UK for 3 years. Alison’s monthly bulletins with prayer requests and updates on her work are on the notice board at the back of church.

How can I help to support Alison?
As a church we are supporting Alison by our prayers, our regular contact and also by contributing financially to CMS through our charitable giving.
