“I’d like to talk to someone…” From time to time people just want someone to listen to their situation and that offer is available through the clergy at St. James – Phil (9606185) & Denise (987 7938). If we’re not in, please leave a message on our answer machines and we will get back to you.

“Will you pray for me?” There is the opportunity to receive personal prayer after each of our services at 8am, 10am & 6.30pm. We can also arrange other times to pray – just let us know.

Men’s breakfast – 8.30am til 9.45am in the church hall on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Come and meet with other men for an informal breakfast get-together. Contact Andrew on 0115 9670897 or email andrewpalmer1963@googlemail.com

Girl’s Night Out - 7.30pm -11pm. Women of all generations come to enjoy a 3-course meal for a £6 donation every other month. Ring 9606185 by the previous Tuesday to book your place.

Girl’s Time Out – Sometimes women just need a break from the routines of life, to get some space for themselves to think, talk and receive. Girl’s Time Out is often on a Sunday afternoon.

The Alpha Course is an internationally recognised course to help people understand the Christian faith. It includes a meal, a talk to listen to, and a discussion. The next  course starts on  October 12th at 7pm in the church hall. Have a look on the website and read the stories of people who found the Alpha Course changed their lives.

Social Events – There are a variety of social events across the year for men, women, families and friends. Don’t miss out on our Funday on Saturday 11th June with charity ‘retro races’ in the morning & ‘Jazz on the lawn’ with the Teddy Fullick Band in the afternoon.  Everyone is welcome.
