Family Care are a welcoming and innovative voluntary agency offering services in adoption, family support, emotional support to children and young people, safeguarding consultancy and training.
Based in Nottingham, we work in the City of Nottingham, the County of Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
Epilepsy Action was this years winner of our annual project championed by Stephen Pollard. The donation will help towards looking for stronger drugs for the better control of epilepsy.
The Ark, the shop at 12 Wollaton Avenue, that provides friendship and support, information and advice for local residents, especially those on the Phoenix farm estate. It is open 10 am to 3pm Tuesday to Friday as a cafe/meeting place.
The shop was opened on June 24th 2004 after the tireless work of Richard and Louise Grosberg, the congregation at Phoenix Farm Methodist church, and other Christians from the local area (including Margaret Moore from our own church who became one of the Trustees). Although The Ark is a distinct charity set up in 2002, it has the support of Phoenix Farm and Gedling Road Methodist Churches, Westdale Lane Baptists, All Hallows, Gedling and ourselves.
